Vieux Chalet (PhotoSpam)

What does that mean, you may ask? It means “Old house on top of a mountain” (Terey). A Swiss Restaurant that has been there for 20+ years. Where was I during these years? SMH.

One of the most beautiful – hidden restaurant around the Metro. Definitely worth the travel. :) A 2HR travel from Trinoma, that’s with traffic pa ha? The place is surreal. It was actually a house – turned – restaurant, that’s why you will feel the house – comfy vibe. As I stepped on that place, I felt the good aura. AHHHH.. Sarap.

The staff greeted us with “Happy Anniversary po!” – I’m like, “You guys know it’s our anniversary?!” Then I saw this:

Candle-lit dinner, overlooking view, open-window, fresh air, petals overload, and a sign that says “Happy Anniversary!” I was really surprised! Like literally! Didn’t see this coming ha! XD

Happy Anniversary sign-board with scented candle.

Petals.

A rosebud on my right side.

The wonderful floor. Awww.. :”)

My man.

Me, being so mahinhin. Haha! Finesse dapat!

Also checked their restroom. (Haha) Pretty too! Parang bahay talaga!

We started our meal with their house (white) wine. (Taray!)

While waiting for a few minutes, Mike and I talked about what the future is in-store for the both of us. Got teary-eyed actually. ..OK fine, umiyak ako. Hahaha. Scared. But let’s go! All in! :)

Our appetizer:

I’m not sure what it is called, (it was not in the menu! Huu) But it was really good. Oh my goodness @_@ Soup yan! Mukha lang kape. Choz. Creamy soup! ^^ With shrimp on the top. I can’t explain how good it is? Basta creamy and the shrimp is so juicy! Sarap!

This Salad. This scrumptious salad, I really enjoyed it. I liked how crunchy and fresh the veggies were even if we ordered this a bit late na. It has some bits of mangoes, as well. The shrimp! Still juicy as ever. Also liked the dressing of the salad, parang grilled lang.

Main dishes:

Shrimp Ravioli 465.00 Hindi naman kami masyado mahilig sa Shrimp no? Hindi ko rin alam eh. Si Mike lahat nag-order niyan. This was really good. The pasta was well-cooked. The tomato sauce blend in to the pasta perfectly. Saraap! Unfortunately, I didn’t taste the shrimp? I’m not sure why. But yeah. It was delish!

Osso Buco 585.00 Oh gosh. The beef! It resembles to Momo Café’s Beef Fingers in my POV, but this one has different sauce. But same goodness. Tender, juicy and really mouthwatering. We were advice to have it partnered with buttered mashed potato. Perfect tandem. So FULL. Exage.

Then suddenly, Rico (the manager) brought a bouquet of flowers. Oh my goodness. I was really touched. I almost cried talaga. I never liked flowers (alam niyo yan) but in that moment, I know, it was very intimate and soooo romantic. First time talaga. I can’t contain my happiness. Grabe @_@

Note inside the bouquet. Aww… It’s BABIE. But I still find it very cute. :P

As we were about to order for dessert (looking forward for some cakey!), Mhadz told us not to order cause they are giving us a complimentary dessert. We asked why, “cause it’s your anniversary!”. So adorable. Humirit si Mike, “Oh, wala na akong alam diyan ah!” Hahaha. We feel so special talaga.

You guys are really awesome. First impression lasts!
Mhadz and Rico , two wonderful people from Vieux Chalet welcomed us, Mike knew them already. Siguro nakausap na niya after the reservation and sorts. They are so accommodating, friendly and hospitable. Feeling ko talaga nasa bahay lang ako. Too comfy. I love them.

Still in awe after seeing the beautiful place. Divine and magical talaga. Dim lights = perfect! Check!
